If Iran’s Security Is Not Guaranteed, No Infrastructure Will Be Safe” — Iranian Parliament Speaker Ghalibaf Warns US

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has warned the United States that no infrastructure in the region will remain safe if Iran’s security is not guaranteed. He also said that if Iran is prevented from selling oil in a particular region, no other country will be able to sell oil there either.
Speaking during Tuesday’s open session of the Iranian Parliament, Ghalibaf commemorated those killed during Iran’s eight-year war with Iraq from 1980 to 1988, referred to in Iran as the “Sacred Defense,” as well as those killed in the 12-day and 40-day wars, particularly members of the security forces.
Warning Over Oil Sales and Regional Security
Ghalibaf said, “In a region where we do not sell oil, no one else will sell oil either; and if our security is not ensured, no infrastructure will be safe.”
Addressing US officials, he said that the era of intimidation and threats against Iran was over. According to Ghalibaf, Iran would not back down in the face of threats, rhetoric, or aerial and commercial blockades.

Criticism of US Claims Over the Strait of Hormuz
Ghalibaf described US claims concerning the Strait of Hormuz as baseless and warned that Iran’s response to any aggression would be “painful” and swift. He also said that any Iranian response to an act of aggression or what he described as adventurism would be severe, swift and precise.
Ghalibaf Commemorates Hassan Nasrallah
During his remarks, Ghalibaf also commemorated the second anniversary of the death of former Hezbollah Secretary-General Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah.
Ghalibaf said Nasrallah had transformed Hezbollah from a guerrilla group into what he described as a deterrent force that reshaped regional security equations. He further argued that the resistance movement did not depend on a single individual but had developed an organizational structure that continued to function after the deaths of its commanders.
Iran’s Response to Any Aggression
Ghalibaf reiterated that Iran’s response to any act of aggression would be severe, swift and precise. He also repeated his warning that if Iran is prevented from selling oil in a region, other countries would not be able to sell oil there either.
His remarks come amid ongoing tensions involving Iran, the United States, the Strait of Hormuz and regional energy security.
