So-Called Superpower America Is Now on Brink of the Abyss After Trying to Flex Its Muscle Against Iran -Iranian Parliament Speaker
Tehran, Iran | October 25, 2026 | The Global Journal
Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has said that Iran cannot be brought to its knees through media pressure or threats of military force. He claimed that the United States is pursuing a strategy based on serious miscalculations in an attempt to force Iran into submission. As a result, he argued, Washington has found itself caught in a situation of deep uncertainty and complexity.
According to Ghalibaf, the United States is now “on the brink of the abyss” in its attempt to demonstrate its strength against Iran. He stressed that Iran today is no longer the weak country it once was. Instead, he described the country as increasingly confident and reliant on its own defence capabilities and national resolve.

Tehran Will Not Bow to Military Threats
The Iranian parliamentary speaker said that neither media pressure nor military threats could force Iran to change its position. He maintained that Iran remains determined to protect its sovereignty, national dignity and security, and would not easily submit to pressure from foreign powers.
Ghalibaf further claimed that the US administration holds a mistaken understanding of Iran’s capabilities and position. In his view, this miscalculation has pushed Washington into an increasingly complicated situation.
The United States Must Decide How to Exit the Crisis
Ghalibaf’s remarks carried a direct message to Washington: the responsibility for finding a way out of the current dangerous situation now rests with the United States. He suggested that continuing its pressure campaign against Iran could make the crisis even more complicated.
However, these statements reflect Iran’s political position and assessment of the situation. Ghalibaf’s claims about US strategy and the difficulties facing Washington should be distinguished from independently verified facts and assessed alongside statements from other relevant parties and reliable sources.
