Iran Removes All Restrictions on Missile Range, Vows a Response 100 Times Stronger Than Before to Any Attack — IRGC Spokesperson
Tehran, Iran | November 7, 2026 | The Global Journal
Iran has announced that there are no longer any restrictions on the range of its domestically developed missiles, with a senior Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) spokesperson warning that Tehran is prepared to respond to any military attack with significantly greater force than before.
Brigadier General Hossein Mohebbi, spokesperson for the IRGC, made the remarks on Saturday during a press conference at a cultural center in Tehran, held as part of the IRGC Aerospace Week celebrations. According to Mohebbi, previous limitations on the range of Iran's missile capabilities have been completely lifted. He said Tehran is now prepared to strike targets at any distance within its capabilities if another military confrontation occurs.

Underground Missile Cities and Military Facilities
During the press conference, the IRGC spokesperson said Iran had established numerous underground "missile cities" and secret missile facilities across the country by leveraging its technological expertise and vast geographical landscape.
He claimed that Iran's military production and technological activities continued despite sustained enemy airstrikes. According to Mohebbi, several weapons manufacturing facilities and critical military assets were relocated underground to protect them from aerial bombardment, allowing the country's defence production capabilities to remain operational.
He also claimed that Iranian forces had captured seven enemy MQM-170 surveillance drones intact over the preceding two weeks. He described this as evidence of Iran's progress in air defence and military technology.
Strong Warning to the United States and Israel
Issuing a direct warning to the United States and Israel, Mohebbi said any miscalculation or act of aggression against Iran would trigger a severe response, with consequences that the opposing side could feel for years.
He further warned that if another war breaks out against Iran, the country would unveil new military capabilities and technologies that could surprise its adversaries.
Tehran Claims Major Progress in Military Self-Reliance
Mohebbi highlighted three major achievements of the IRGC Aerospace Force.
First, he said Iran had successfully reduced its dependence on foreign weapons and military technologies by developing its own research and technological capabilities. He claimed that Iran had transformed itself from a country dependent on arms imports into a producer and exporter of military equipment.
Second, he pointed to the development of advanced weapons systems, including the Arman missile, the 358 drone and the Khordad-3 air defence system. According to him, some of these technologies and military products are now being supplied to foreign countries.
Third, he claimed that Iran had achieved substantial self-sufficiency in military equipment production and maintenance, reducing its reliance on other countries for critical components and technologies.
Mohebbi also announced that the country's military technologies and latest innovations would be displayed to the public during IRGC Aerospace Week.
The announcement regarding the removal of missile-range restrictions, alongside Tehran's warnings to Washington and Tel Aviv, could add another dimension to the ongoing military tensions in the Middle East. However, the actual implementation of the claimed policy change, Iran's newly announced military capabilities and the reported capture of surveillance drones have not been independently verified.
