Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian Reaffirms Full Support for Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, Vows to Move the Country Forward

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian’s Cabinet has reaffirmed its full support and loyalty to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, while pledging to advance the country on a stronger and more unified path.

In a statement issued Saturday, the Iranian Cabinet pledged to protect national unity, prioritize the economy and people’s livelihoods, and advance diplomacy and defence as “two complementary wings.”

The government said a “national cohesion annex” would be attached to major political, economic, social and cultural decisions. The initiative is intended to prevent measures that could deepen social divisions and establish national unity as a central principle of governance.

National Cohesion at the Center of Governance

In line with Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei’s recent warnings against social division, the Cabinet said the impact of major decisions on national cohesion and unity would be considered.

The government also described avoiding “false dichotomies” and “pessimistic rhetoric” as a specific responsibility, stressing the importance of strengthening public confidence and national unity.

Focus on the Economy and Livelihoods

The Cabinet outlined several priorities for addressing Iran’s long-standing economic challenges, including controlling inflation, modernizing market management, creating employment and increasing the flow of capital into domestic production.

The government also pledged to gradually reduce reliance on the U.S. dollar and use domestic capabilities to improve living standards.

It further emphasized the implementation of a “resistance economy” as part of efforts to strengthen Iran’s economic resilience amid external pressure.

Acceleration in Technology, Education and Production

The government said progress would be accelerated in technology, education, agriculture, industry, communications and culture.

One of the stated goals is to strengthen Iran’s “scientific authority” and advance implementation of the Second Phase of the Islamic Revolution’s Statement, according to the Cabinet.

The government emphasized investment in knowledge, technology, productive capacity and human resources as key elements of long-term development.

Diplomacy and Defence as ‘Two Complementary Wings’

The Cabinet also reaffirmed its approach to foreign and security policy, saying Iran’s diplomacy would be guided by “dignity, wisdom and expediency.”

At the same time, the government said it would continue to resist sanctions and other forms of pressure while maintaining its established position toward the United States and Israel.

The Cabinet described diplomacy and defence as two complementary, coordinated and inseparable wings for protecting Iran’s national interests, security and territorial integrity.

Government Reaffirms Its Commitment

The statement also paid tribute to the late presidents Mohammad Ali Rajai and Ebrahim Raisi, Prime Minister Mohammad Javad Bahonar and other government officials who were killed, reaffirming respect for their memory.

The Cabinet reiterated its commitment to serving the Iranian people and using its full capabilities to build a “stronger Iran.”

The statement highlights a broad policy framework centered on national unity, economic stability, domestic development, diplomacy and defence.
