World Leaders Praise Iran’s Armed Forces for Their Strength, Capabilities and Dignity, Says President Masoud Pezeshkian

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has said that ministers and heads of state from various countries have praised the strength, courage, capabilities and dignity of Iran’s Armed Forces during meetings with Iranian officials. He claimed that the country’s defensive capabilities and the resistance demonstrated by its Armed Forces in recent conflicts have enhanced Iran’s visibility on the international stage.
The information was reported by Mehr News Agency (MNA) in a report published from Tehran, the capital of Iran, on October 18.
Speaking via videoconference during a session reviewing the qualifications of the proposed defense minister, Pezeshkian said that the strength, courage and dignity of Iran’s Armed Forces had been acknowledged during his meetings with ministers and leaders from various countries.
Praise for Resistance Against the United States and Israel
In his remarks, the Iranian president praised the role of the country’s Armed Forces in defending Iran against attacks by the United States and Israel. According to Pezeshkian, the forces’ sacrifice, courage and defensive capabilities have astonished the world.
He said the role played by Iran’s Armed Forces in defending the country had also had a significant impact on various Middle Eastern nations. In his view, this resistance has become a source of pride for Iran in the international community.
Pezeshkian further noted that during overseas visits and discussions with ministers and heads of state from different countries, he had heard expressions of appreciation for Iran’s defense capabilities and the standing of its Armed Forces.
Honoring the Fallen and Paying Tribute to the Armed Forces
During his address, Pezeshkian paid tribute to the memory of the late Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei; those killed during the Iran–Iraq War of 1980–1988; those who lost their lives during the recent 40-day war involving the United States; schoolchildren killed in the conflict; and Iran’s former defense minister, Major General Aziz Nasirzadeh.
He praised the bravery, resilience and patriotism of the Armed Forces while remembering the sacrifices made by those who lost their lives defending the country.
Contributions of Defense Industry Experts and Scientists
The president also highlighted the contributions of experts and scientists working in Iran’s defense industry to the development of the country’s military capabilities. He said the proposed defense minister had considerable experience in the defense industrial sector.
According to Pezeshkian, the official’s efforts, alongside the contributions of scientists such as the late Mohsen Fakhrizadeh and Tehrani Moghaddam, have helped advance Iran’s defense industry.
He claimed that Iran’s defensive capabilities had reached a level at which foreign powers could not easily launch military aggression against the country, despite possessing advanced military equipment and extensive military resources.
Iran’s Defense Capabilities and Regional Security
Pezeshkian’s remarks placed particular emphasis on military self-reliance, the development of the defense industry and preparedness to counter external threats. According to the Iranian president, the resistance demonstrated by the country’s Armed Forces has influenced not only Iran’s domestic security but also the broader situation across the Middle East.
